Ashtanga Yoga Poses – One of Yoga Types that Can Lose Your Weight

Ashtanga yoga poses taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois can give many benefits for health by performing synchronization between breathing and movement through several series set of asanas. The term Ashtanga itself had the sanskrit sense i.e. Ashta means eight and anga means limb. So Ashtanga means eight limb paths. In carrying out the practice of Ashtanga, you’ll be doing a series of poses with emphasis on posture and breath. Each pose requires the existence of coordination between breath and movement. Ashtanga yoga is one type of yoga that can make you practice to enhance strength, strengthens the muscles and also to lose weight. Although the intensity of practicing yoga not burn calories as much as aerobics class, but the ashtanga yoga is one type of yoga that fall into the categories can lose weight. By doing ashtanga yoga poses, you will spend a lot of sweat so that indirectly the toxins in the body can be removed through sweat. Ashtanga yoga consists of six series of postures that are referring to main series, intermediate and advance. Each consists of several processing is done in stages at the time of exercise. Yoga Chikitsa consists of 75 poses that will take approximately 2 hours to complete the entire poses. After finish this series, you can continue to intermediate series.

The intermediate series, also known as Nadi Shodana which means cleaning up the energy channels, which became the basis of the physical form. This series consists of a combination of the first series and some additional new poses variation. Doing and practice this series this for some period of time, then you will feel any changes in your body where your power and strength are becoming more increasing and your concentration level and focus becomes deeper.

Advance series of Ashtanga yoga is known by the name of Sthira Bhaga meant to stabilize the radiance. Advance series is divided again into 4 series where each series can be done by people who have been through the stages of major and medium-sized series. This series are not recommended for beginners.
